One year ago yesterday we went through our first ever IVF transfer which, just shy of 2 weeks later, we found out it worked and we were pregnant. Our first ever pregnancy between us after 3 years of trying. So much happiness and joy overwhelmed us and our family. 2 days after Christmas, we would find out that our fairytale ended with a missed miscarriage. No signs of any issues but there was no heartbeat. I carried my angel just over a week before my surgery to remove the evidence that anything ever existed. That was probably my most darkest times. I still think about that baby and what he/she would be like. I would have a 3 month old right now instead of being 33 weeks pregnant. I'm now due 1 year and 1 day after we got the bad news. Such a bittersweet time for us.

32 weeks along at the age of 32

Can you believe I only have 2 more months to go? I can officially say I'm due next month. It will be here before we know it with all the craziness that will ensue with holidays and such. John and I signed up for Birth Awareness classes that are 3 Tuesdays in a row this month starting next week. We also have an appointment next week to meet with a pediatrician. Morgan's cheer competition season starts this month as well.

I celebrated my 32nd birthday a couple weeks ago. My first birthday being pregnant. I was never pregnant on my birthday with Morgan. We just went out to eat with close friends and family and I splurged on a virgin frozen cocktail. Mmmm

Last Thursday was Halloween. Of course I sported an adorable maternity Halloween shirt that got many compliments :) I ended up staying home and passing out candy while John took Morgan out in the sprinkling rain to go trick or treating. There wasn't a whole lot of traffic due to the weather, but Morgan sure did make out like a bandit. She was dressed as a Zombie Nerd. That make 2 years in a row where she has taken something and zombified it.

Friday we had our maternity pictures. It was cold and windy but I know we got some amazing shots. John and Morgan were troopers through it all. We ended up driving to a friend's farm for it. I can't wait to get to see them. Probably another week before we get to see the gallery.

My baby shower was Saturday. Was a lovely shower my friends threw for me. They really outdid themselves. We were surrounded by such amazing people who really poured their love and support. The generosity was so overwhelming. We are so grateful for the people in our lives.

The next day we couldn't wait to get the rest of the stuff off our registry. So we went shopping. Without going into much detail, we did some major damage and yet walked away with so much for pretty much nothing with coupons and giftcards. It was a wonderful feeling not walking out like we were broke. I can't wait to get everything washed and organized. Will share nursery pictures once it's all done.

As you can see it was a reeeeallly busy weekend. Thank God for the extra hour of sleep Sunday morning due to the time change.

As for Baby Ivy, she's growing big and strong in there. Her movements are much stronger and getting more uncomfortable at times depending on her position. Just today, I actually said "OW" with a movement she did in there. My next appointment is later this week.

I haven't taken a 32 week belly shot yet, but I have some other pictures to share...
